Provo Care Center has been operating as an ICF/ID (Intermediate Care Facility for the Intellectually Disabled) for 20+ years. Although the classification of the facility has changed throughout the years, our Vision and Values have always been centered on providing quality care and active treatment for the individuals we support. As an Intermediate Care Facility, our focus is to teach, coach, and mentor our residents to be as independent as possible in their daily lives. In some cases, this results in individuals who are able to learn the proper skills to live on their own, or in a less structured residential environment, and live successful lives. In other cases, this may not be long-term goal of an individual, but with active treatment they will be able to continue to learn, grow, and conquer their own goals, resulting in a high quality of life.
Provo Care Center recently joined the DDMS-Ut family (Developmental Disability Management Services of Utah). Our residents span in age from their early 20's to late 70's, and there is no age limit for adults who's family members or loved ones are interested in Provo Care Center's services. Our staff are highly trained in active treatment, behavioral interventions, CPR/first aid, and individualized care for each resident.
